Are your event banners ready to ship?
Let’s get your 2022 event season started in the right direction by reviewing your company’s promotional efforts.
Check out these 5 quick tips for your event banner designs to think about while you’re dusting off those old shipping tubes:
- Grab some brand recognition. Place your logo in a prominent area of the banner.
- I would suggest placing the logo towards the top of the banner and large enough to be seen from a short distance. Allow for a nice amount of padding around the logo to draw the eye in.
- Do you have company brand colors? Use bright color or colors out of your brand palette to create a striking look.
- Short concise headlines. Keep titles and headlines to a few words and the font should be large enough to be seen from a short distance.
- Avoid large blocks of copy. Company representatives at the event should be ready to provide more information and have some take-aways (i.e. brochures, flyers, postcards) for attendees to review at their leisure.
- An impactful image. Your image strategy should match your brand style and connect back to your headline.
- Many companies and brands will have a specific image strategy, make sure you check in with your brand or marketing team to align your design with the corporate standards.
- Call to action. What do you want the viewer to do? Speak to a representative? Visit a website? Call the ghostbusters?
- I like to keep the CTA to the website address. Short and sweet.
- Keep it Simple!
- Create a banner with a nice balance of copy, imagery and your CTA. Remember “white-space” can be your friend especially with large scale banners.
